Welcome to the webpage for the white steepled church at the corner of Route 6 and Long Hill Road in Andover, Connecticut! My name is Ruth Nye, the pastor of the First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, of Andover. My ministry is rooted in the many gifts the church has to offer: worship that celebrates the mystery and abundance of God; fellowship with others who share the same spiritual home, and a trust in the ongoing presence and power of God to transform individuals, the community and the world.
Our history as a church dates back to the sixteenth century when the town of Andover was formally established. Today, our historic church is open to young and old, single and families, long time church goers and seekers – all who long to experience the love of God, and follow in the way of Jesus. Whoever you are, wherever you are on life’s journey – you are welcome here!
